The Michael Raymond Salons are structured environments with artistic flare. We are looking for professionals who are goal-oriented, team motivated, and work consistent. There are many challenges that determine how timely an individual builds a clientele and how success is achieved, and it is our goal to build people to their utmost potential. Our management team works with each individual to develop and grow at their own pace and with their own personality providing support and encouragement along the way. Our hiring opportunities support professionals who have recently completed cosmetology school and those who are more experienced, licensed, and want to grow with a company on the move. Our stylsits are required to continue their education by attending seminars and classes in areas of interest. We also encourage participating in our cutting and color classes as a teacher or an attendee. All new employees, whether new to the business or experienced, are required to attend and complete orientation and technical classes that apply to their area of specialization. We are not departmentalized, however we do technically specialize in the craft we practice. Our apprentice program is an integral part of our business. These individuals receive an excellent education and experience handling clients before working on our floors. You will often see these members of our team behind the front desk, shampooing clients, waxing, and helping to maintain the highest standards we have set for our business. This program is an experience at your own pace. It requires finishing both our begninng and advanced cutting classes with the promise of a station at the end. You have to be self-motivated, energetic, and a team player. The front desk staff are the captains of our ships. Experience in customer service and SalonBiz is always a plus but not necessary. We look for a great attitude, the ability to multi-task, and a whatever is needed mentality. This position is for a fast paced, even-tempered, level-headed individual. You are the first voice, the last face, and an important focal point to our business . Sounds like a lot? It is! Grass does not grow behind the front desk. Our staff rarely sits down and is always eager to assist. Energy is the gas that runs the individuals who excel at this position. We are a growing company.
